SPHERE calls for EOIs to shape new research translation grants
SPHERE is inviting its partners to help shape SPHERE’s new grant program through a targeted Expression of Interest (EOI) process focused on identifying priority health systems level challenges.
The EOI aims to identify complex issues impacting multiple parts of the health system, where coordinated, partnership-led action can deliver meaningful and scalable impact. Priority areas identified through this process are eligible for support via the new Ripe for Translation Grant funding of up to $200,000.
“Many of the biggest challenges facing our health system cannot be solved by one organisation alone,” said Professor Julie White.
“This process is about bringing partners together to identify where collaboration can drive real change and deliver better outcomes for communities.”
Submissions must demonstrate clear potential for research translation and measurable improvements in health system performance, driven by collaboration across the partnership. Each submission must focus on a single system-level issue, such as those affecting patient flow or service delivery.
Insights from the EOIs will inform co-designed initiatives that accelerate translation, strengthen capability, and deliver tangible benefits for communities and health services.
Expressions of Interest close at 5pm on Friday 8 May 2026.
