The latest issue of In-SPHERE magazine offers a snapshot of health innovation, featuring exciting studies and insightful perspectives on pressing healthcare issues. Among the highlights are two studies showcasing the transformative potential of exergaming in promoting physical activity and enhancing health outcomes.

In one study led by Dr. Daina Sturnieks, a five-year randomised controlled trial delved into the role of exergaming in preventing falls among older adults. With falls being a significant concern among the elderly, the findings revealed a remarkable 26% reduction in fall rates among participants engaged in exergame training.

Another study explored the feasibility of exergaming during pregnancy. Amidst the challenge of encouraging physical activity among expectant mothers, the study revealed the program's potential to safely increase activity levels in pregnant women.

Beyond these studies, In-SPHERE magazine also features articles on our response to the Senate Inquiry on menopause and perimenopause, increasing exercise for child cancer survivors, and we also reveal the successful Women's Health Research Network mentoring program for early-mid career researchers.
