Implementation Science seed grant recipients announced

The Maridulu Budyari Gumal SPHERE Implementation Science Platform has announced the four successful implementation science seed grant recipients for 2022.

The 2022 Seed Funding scheme aims to support translational projects focusing on the implementation of evidence into clinical practice. The grant scheme also aims to fund grants that can provide pilot data to inform larger Implementation Science/ Translational Research Grants. Each successful applicant team was awarded $20,000.

The 2022 successful lead applicants are:

Dr Bernadette Brady, Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist / Clinical Research Fellow, Liverpool Hospital.

Project Title: Implementing routine hip fracture care standard surveillance among diverse communities

Dr Domenica Mary Disalvo, Research Assistant, University of Technology Sydney.
Palliative Care CAG
Project Title: Interviews with stakeholders to improve quality use of medicines and medication management for community-dwelling people with dementia: Stage 2 of a co-design project

Dr Mei Ling (Mae) Lim, Postdoctoral Fellow; Conjoint Associate Lecturer (UNSW). Neuroscience Research Australia.

Project Title: Concerns about falling of older people living in residential aged care facilities: developing and validating a modified Iconographical Falls Efficacy Scale
