Expressions of interest now open for Healthy Populations and Environment Platform’s Executive Committee
The Healthy Populations and Environment (HPE) Platform is inviting expressions of interest in joining its Executive Committee.
SPHERE’s HPE Platform is a growing network of public health academics, clinicians, social scientists, creatives, architects, urban planners, and other built and natural environment specialists. Our mission is to make a significant change to public health, urban policy development and planning at the state and national level, through collaborative, evidence-based research, educational strategies, and translation of knowledge. We achieve this by supporting government, industry, and NGOs to build sustainable prevention systems across diverse communities, environments and determinants of health to keep populations healthy and well, reduce the likelihood of inequities, illness, disease or injury over the life course, and increase our preparedness for emerging health threats such as pandemics and climate change.
The HPE Platform upholds SPHERE's principles by partnering in projects that connect and leverage research, innovation, collaboration, education, and knowledge co-creation, to drive better health outcomes for our communities.
The HPE Executive Committee provides a mechanism for decision making for the platform, supports participation and engagement, and facilitates effective communication and conflict resolution to deliver agreed key performance indicators

- Guiding the development of the SPHERE HPE Platform;
- Identifying and prioritising collaborative research, events and educational opportunities involving the SPHERE HPE Platform;
