Targeted therapies for high-risk cancers use drugs or substances to specifically attack cancer cells or environments based on their genetic mutations, minimising damage to healthy cells. These therapies may offer a more personalised and effective treatment approach. 

The seminar will feature presentations from Prof Minoti Apte (UNSW Sydney and Ingham Institute), Prof David Ziegler (Children’s Cancer Institute), and A/Prof Tara Roberts (Western Sydney University and Ingham Institute). This session will be chaired by Prof Hubert Hondermarck (University of Newcastle).
