Co-designing Musculoskeletal research Outcomes Translation through Inclusive Organised Networkin (the Co-Motion project)
Evidence suggests that when research programs are designed in partnership with consumers, the adoption of target behaviours is enhanced, and findings are more readily implemented in clinical practice. As such, it is imperative the consumers are engaged as partners in the knowledge translation process. This project aims to codesign a knowledge translation toolkit for musculoskeletal researchers and consumer partners to enhance the dissemination and adoption of research findings by communities. The overall research questions guiding this codesign study, underpinned by Integrated Knowledge Translation is to evaluate what consumers, healthcare professionals and research stakeholders desire in a research translation plan for optimising the a) dissemination of and b) community uptake of musculoskeletal research findings/outcomes which focus on osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and low back pain.
