Aboriginal breastfeeding: reclaiming our traditions

This study focuses on a culturally appropriate program to enhance Aboriginal breastfeeding in SWSLHD. The research has been disseminated to Aboriginal health centres as part of the cultural protocol and ethics process for AHMRC (Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council) [SWSLHD, Liverpool Hospital, WSU].

  • Nearly all survey data has been collected and completed brochures (for breastfeeding women) with a QR code to the YouTube videos have been disseminated.   • Two brochures in Dharag and Dharawal were completed. The language custodians have seen and approved the brochures. These will be launched when the final surveys are returned.
