SPHERE Cancer CAG Strategic BIG Idea Workshops 2025

In April 2025, the SPHERE Cancer Clinical Academic Group (CAG) surveyed its members to identify key oncology research priorities and potential leaders for future initiatives. Based on the survey results—and in preparation for a possible funding round later this year—we are hosting a series of strategic workshops in September and one in October 2025.

These workshops aim to generate ideas that will shape our future research direction and support a re-funding bid under the current Cancer Institute NSW Translational Cancer Research Capacity Building Grant.

Workshop Themes

The following four strategic themes emerged as most popular priorities:

Each workshop will include:

• Presentations from members on proposed ideas
• Facilitated discussions to refine and integrate ideas
• Opportunities to collaborate and contribute, even if you're not presenting
