Meet Peter Nikolovski, SPHERE’s new Education and Training Manager
SPHERE is pleased to welcome Peter Nikolovski as our new Education and Training Manager.
Peter brings extensive experience in learning and development, performance enablement and facilitation. In his previous role at Optus, he designed and delivered education and training for large, geographically dispersed teams, creating workshops, learning resources and practical tools to help people develop new skills and confidently adapt to change.
“Over the past few years, I’ve developed a real passion for education and training and for helping people build the skills and confidence they need to succeed,” Peter said.
“That was one of the things that attracted me to SPHERE. I saw an opportunity to bring my experience into a new environment, continue learning and contribute to work that ultimately supports better health outcomes.”
Although Peter is new to the health and medical research sector, he is a quick learner who enjoys translating complex information into practical and engaging learning experiences.
“I love facilitation and creating an environment where people feel comfortable asking questions, sharing what they are finding difficult and learning from one another,” he said.
“I’m a people person, and I enjoy sharing what I know while also learning from the knowledge and experience of others. I’m looking forward to working with people across the SPHERE network and helping to develop education and training that is useful, engaging and relevant.”
Peter’s warm nature and infectious smile are likely to make him a familiar and welcoming presence across the SPHERE community.
Outside work, Peter describes himself as a technology enthusiast. He has been pulling apart and rebuilding computers since he was young and is now the unofficial technical-support service for his family and friends.
His curiosity about how things work also influences his approach to learning.
“I always tell people not to be afraid to click on something or even break something, because sometimes that’s the best way to learn,” he said.
Peter also enjoys long walks while listening to his favourite music. On weekends, he can often be found dancing and enthusiastically cleaning the house, a combination he describes as his happy place.
