In-SPHERE special anniversary issue

SPHERE has marked a decade of research translation with a special 10 Years of Impact edition of In-SPHERE, featuring 10 success stories from across the partnership.

The anniversary edition looks at projects that have grown from SPHERE support to influence clinical practice, improve models of care, attract further investment and reach more patients and communities. It also includes a recap of SPHERE’s 10 Years of Impact celebration and looks ahead to the organisation’s next phase.

While the 10 projects tell very different stories, Executive Director Professor Julie White said they represent only a small selection of what could have been featured.

“These stories are not the only successes of SPHERE’s first decade, nor a definitive ‘top 10’. We could have filled many more pages with projects that have improved care, influenced policy and practice, built new partnerships and attracted further investment. Instead, they provide a snapshot of the breadth of what has been achieved.”

Across the edition, readers can see early ideas grow into larger programs, research move into clinical practice, new partnerships form and projects extend their reach into health services and communities.

As SPHERE enters its second decade, the focus now turns to building on that foundation and ensuring effective research can be adopted, implemented, scaled and spread.
