Clinical trials focussed website goes live

Maridulu Budyari Gumal, the Sydney Partnership for Health, Education, Research and Enterprise (SPHERE) has today launched its Clinical Trials focussed website which was developed to support the researchers and professional staff of its 16 partners working in clinical trials.

“It is fitting that this new website is launched today, on International Clinical Trials Day, a day when we recognise the amazing achievements and medical advances that have come about from clinical trials research,” said Executive Director, Professor Mark Parsons.

“The website will grow to be the go-to website for our partners’ researchers and professional staff whose day-to-day business is the conduct and oversight of clinical trials.”

For the first time, researchers can engage with the hands-on support provided through the Clinical Trials Methodology Hub, a service designed to support the development and implementation of innovative, effective and successful clinical trials.

They can access a calendar of ethics committee dates across the partners and link through to the units that can support them with their research ethics and governance processes.

The site also hosts a suite of training resources developed by SPHERE in partnership with sector professionals. This includes online and in-person Good Clinical Practice training for triallists and professional development opportunities for ethics committees and those involved in managing trial audits.

The podcast ‘Clinical Trials in focus’ developed together with Sydney Health Partners and NSW Regional Health Partners, also launched today can be accessed via the website.

The website will continue to grow as we showcase the innovative practices of our partners.

The website can be accessed at: www.sphereclinicaltrials.com.au
